Dear Residents & Businesses,
Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:
PATROLS Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, and our local green spaces.
PCSO Pritchard and PC Gallagher have attended the Scouts Hut at Aldermans Green this week to do a session with the Beavers group, thank you for having us!
VEHICLE SEIZURE Our officers have seized a vehicle for no tax from Hazel Road. The tax expired on the vehicle in December 2025.
VEHICLE CRIME & BURGLARY We have had two reports of burglary and one report of theft of motor vehicle this week.
The burglary incident occurred on 19/04/2026 between 18:00 and 18:30 on Rafferty Adams Way whereby offenders have gained entry to the rear door of a property and conducted an search of the kitchen drawers. The offenders have stolen an the car keys from inside of the property and made good their escape using the stolen vehicle. If you may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this location around the time of the offence, please contact us on 101 quoting 20/220612/26.
A second burglary incident occurred on 21/04/2026 between 10:30 and 11:30 on Rowleys Green Lane whereby a contractor has been doing work within a property to the rear of the property when offenders have entered the property from the front door and stolen tools. The theft of motor vehicle occurred on 21/04/2026 between 18:30 and 22:10 on Wilsons Lane whereby a black Kia EV6 vehicle was parked and secured. Offenders have gained access to the vehicle by unknown means and have made off from the location. If you may have heard or seen anything, contact us on 101 quoting 20/222629/26.
